Tennis Elbow; There is pain on the outer side of the elbow. It is the most common cause of elbow pain. Repetitive elbow and forearm movements result in pain on the outside of the elbow. This region is where the tendons to the hand and wrist bond to the bone, and edema occurs first as a result of overloading.
In case the load is frequently repeated over time, tendon tissue deterioration and ruptures occur. Patients experience excessive pain in the elbow in some wrist movements.
Rest, cold application, painkillers and bandages can be applied. Local cortisone injection may be used for persistent complaints. Another method used in recent years is thrombotic-rich plasma injections.
In this technique, some blood of the patient is centrifuged to separate the healing factors in the blood more intensively and inject these healing factors locally to the area that is intended to be treated.
In case the complaints do not regress, surgical treatment is recommended. Injured tendon tissue is removed during surgery. Some movements are restricted for a while.
