Nerve Entrapment; The most frequently entrapped tissues around the elbow are nerves, which is called “cubital tunnel syndrome”. This nerve passes through a tunnel on the inner side of the elbow, and in some cases, it may become trapped inside the tunnel.
These are responsible for the lateral opening and closing movements of fingers, the sense of the entire little finger and the half of the ring finger. There may be pain in the inner arm. Diagnosis is made by EMG.
Physical therapy, rest, edema-relieving drugs are applied first in the therapy. However, in patients whose complaints persist, the structures that entrap the nerve are loosened by surgery, the entrapment is prevented, and the nerve can be moved to prevent further entrapment.
